Last week, we celebrated Music Week at Yago School Nursery. It was a week full of rhythm, color and joy, during which different musical and plastic activities have aroused the interest of the youngest of the school.
Music is one of the pillars of our project, we are convinced of the benefits it brings to the children from an early age and that is why we integrate it as part of the global formation of our students in the form of games and songs. Some of these benefits are:
- It provides an improvement in the learning processes
2. Work self-discipline, patience, sensitivity and coordination.
3. Teaches teamwork
4. It favors the ability to memorize and concentrate.
The stimulation begins with the youngest ones with chirps, chanting and small fragments of songs achieving a musical and affective exchange which is very important for their personal development.
What most appeals to all of them are the instruments, they are an invitation for the children to participate more actively. They love to manipulate them and explore their different sound properties.
Children up to the age of 6 are in full discovery of their bodies, so it is interesting to teach them that the body is the most valuable instrument, with which you can make countless sounds.
We counted on the visit and participation of Ana Gutiérrez Guerrero, pedagogue, expert in Early Intervention, pianist and music therapist. With more than 5 years of experience as a music teacher, she has been focused on her training as a musical therapist and developing this professional area, especially in the field of Functional Diversity and Child Stimulation. She managed to capture the attention of all our children and both the children and adults enjoyed her musical proposals
We present to you photos and a short video of our little musicians!
