There is nothing like teaching children with real-life experiences and symbolic games! They enjoy learning, they learn by playing, they play by remembering and they remember by experiencing. Now it´s the Market Week turn.
Market Week in Yago School Nursery
During the past week our Nursery has become a real market, children have been able to buy, sell, play with food, learn new names and even cook with the ingredients purchased and taste their delicious recipe during the tea time.
Shopping trolleys, cash registers, vegetables, fruits, products that are usually consumed at home, money money (as they say) of toy and paper, a market in each class with products made of paper and plasticized that they have been able to play with, have accompanied us these days in the daily planning that we desing monthly in our Nursery.
To play “markets” is great for the children because they already know it from life experience. They have the knowledge of the necessary things and the treatment that we must give and recive when we go into business to go shopping.
The trip to the greengrocer made by Infant 2, which they had the opportunity not only to know products that are marketed in these stores, but to live the experience of leaving the school, to greet the people they were meeting and also who those went to buy fruit and fish, they could see how these people interacted with the shopkeeper and choose and paid for yhe fruit that everyone liked to later make a pizza with fruit and chocolate. In this way, we have also encouraged the habit of eating fruits and vegetables.
We leave you some photos that show the best moments of this week in which the activities and the decoration have turned our Children´s School into Yago School Nursery Market!
